Smiling back at you
I sat on the packed train on the way home from work ( lucky to have a seat), across from me was a tiny older woman with a cane. Drool escaping from the corner of her mouth. I continued to read. After a few stops I looked up and noticed her rocking to push herself forward. Then she stood, shakily trying to steady herself. Noone near her moved? I reached out to hold her hand and she clasped on tightly and smiled at me , the most beautiful smile. We held hands till her stop, all the while she smiled silently and then I helped her off. What an angel. Showing me the sweetness of life is always present.
